No I dont mind thank you I ment to do it then the computer locked up and forgot to go back. as far as the sand bed yeah I will probably add to is later down the road but right now I am looking at getting the lighting back to where I want it then I will either work on the sand bed or get more rock one of the two I mean I like the open tank look but Not so much that it looks like a pebble in the middle of a lake either. as far as the electrial panel I had that on the 10gal I had it makes it nice then you dont have extension cords or power strips running from all over the house not to mention a little safer then over loading a power strip keeps every thing neat and tidy. Your the man with alot of ideas let me shoot a question your way I want to add a refuigm to the tank with out the head ach of another pump (less heat so on) so I was thinking like a gravity type system with putting the refuge ontop of the sump and gravity feed it back to the sump but how do I supply the refuge with water with out adding a pump and I think the drain from the over flow would be a little to much preasure to have it fed directly into the fuge could I put like a "Y" on the drain line and split it so part of it goes to the fuge and part continues on into the sump bypassing the fuge? (not sure if im making any sense to anyone) let me know thou if need be ill come up with a plan and post a pic of it on herereefman23 said:Hope you dont mind... I deleted your double post.
Your tank looks awesome! Keep an eye on that tulip anemone in the pic with the xenia... they can spread and get outta control! HAve you considered making your sandbed deeper? It would serve a couple purposes... it would create an area or anaerobic bacteria and also cut down on the distance the light has to travel to get to the bottom... llike Mike G.'s tank.
With the transition from a 10k to a 20k lamp, your are losing a ton of PAR... probably close to half of what you had with the 10k. Take a look here to compare the various MH lamp/ballast combos... http://www.reeflightinginfo.arvixe.com/
I love your electrical outlets..., I wanted to do something like that... guess Ill wait till I get a larger setup
